White Gum Road is located in the Oakbank area of the Adelaide Hills. It is a typical country track with gums either side of the road. These trees are South Australian Blue Gums, which are known for their smooth white and grey streaked bark.
The White Gum Road 2008 Cabernet/Shiraz is a blend of Adelaide Hills and Limestone Coast fruit. The wine has dense dark colours, stewed fruit aromas and a slightly raisined character. There is well integrated oak with plenty of length and flavour intensity.
